Simpli5 removable braces use a series of clear plastic aligners to move the teeth into more cosmetically appealing positions. This system is designed to concentrate on very minor cases of crowding and is cosmetically oriented, focusing on the front six teeth only.
The aligners can only produce a maximum movement of 2.5 mm, and this does rely on the teeth being reasonably well aligned to start with.
The Benefits:
What it can treat:
It's only suitable for treating minor orthodontic problems
What it cannot treat:
For a clear brace that is capable of treating more difficult cases, read about Invisalign.
The step-by-step process for having these braces is as follows:
Your teeth will move during treatment, and this can create some discomfort or tenderness. There is likely to be less discomfort with this system, as the tooth movement is limited. If you do feel any discomfort then it should be easily controllable with over-the-counter painkillers. If the discomfort persists then you should ask your dentist for advice.
Treatment with Simpli5 braces is limited to five aligners, so everyone will complete treatment within five months.
Simpli5 braces are fully removable so you can brush and floss as normal. You will need to remove the braces before eating, and you must brush your teeth before replacing them. It is important to be vigilant over hygiene during any orthodontic treatment as wearing any dental appliance will increase the amount of plaque present in the mouth.
Thank you so so much Adam & everyone at Harley Street! I think I counted two pictures at home where you can see my teeth. Now I will not stop smiling! See you soon!
