Six Month Smiles is a short-term orthodontic treatment that uses a fixed brace. The brace is virtually invisible as it uses Six Month Smiles Lucid-Lok® clear brackets combined with the use of tooth coloured wires. It's a cosmetically oriented brace in that it only works on the teeth that are visible when smiling, making it more affordable than traditional braces. The system uses low forces to gently move the teeth into the correct position within six months or less. This treatment is ideal for anyone who doesn't have any major orthodontic issues and who isn't looking to achieve an absolutely perfect bite but rather just correct one or two teeth that are out of alignment.
The Benefits:
The Disadvantages:

Six Month Smiles is perfect if you have front teeth that are slightly overcrowded, which protrude slightly, or which have slight gaps in between them. It will only work on the front teeth, and will not correct substantial bite problems.
The steps for treatment are as follows:
Six Month Smiles uses low forces to move your teeth, and the amount of movement is likely to be relatively small. This helps to ensure treatment is relatively comfortable, although it is quite normal to feel some tenderness during treatment due to the pressures being placed on the teeth. If you do feel discomfort this is generally easily relieved with over-the-counter painkillers.
Treatment takes an average of six months, but may last anywhere from four months to nine months.
Your dentist will give you instructions on how to clean your braces, as you will need to take extra care to clean them thoroughly during treatment. Tools such as floss threaders and interdental brushes can be used to clean around the braces, or you may want to use a water flosser to remove food debris and plaque. You will need to avoid eating very sticky foods that could be difficult to clean from your braces, and very hard foods that could damage them.
Thank you so so much Adam & everyone at Harley Street! I think I counted two pictures at home where you can see my teeth. Now I will not stop smiling! See you soon!
